Why did God create us?

God created us in love to dwell with us in joy for all eternity. Just like you adopt and raise a puppy or have and raise children. God did the same with us

Why did God create hell?

God created hell specifically for Satan and his angels, not his creation. Satan rebelled against God through his pride, envy, and hatred. God then rebuked Satan and casted him out of heaven. But the good news, Jesus died for all our sins

2 Peter 2:4 God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell.

The whole point of Jesus being born was to die for our sins so we don't go to hell
